First Day

Uh oh!  I pulled out everything from my bag of tricks on the first day!  Now what am I going to do?  Actually we still have tiny cupcakes to make, chocolate chip cookies, and a pool day planned.
Aren't these gorgeous?  I love them, but I had to move them out into Kelli's sunroom because I think they are infested with fruit flies.
Here we have another one of my charges.  I tripped over him tonight and now my leg hurts.
Remember when I had this cool table at my house?  Yes, well Kelli has it now.  They don't eat off of it, but Wilbur wouldn't care anyway.
The girls had their braids cut off on Sunday and gave their hair to Locks for Love.  Don't they look darling in their new hairdos?

Millie has been such a good little two-year-old!  She's been talking up a storm and keeping up with the big sisters.

Birdie is writing and drawing in her journal.  I love her stories.
Miss Bug likes to decorate cookies.  We snacked on the toppings.
I am so glad Kelli and Bryan are having a ball in Canada.  All couples need getaways.
Thank you for your prayers for my dad.  He is still in the hospital.  He's in good spirits.
Bed is calling.  ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Bless your family Pompom, they are so delightful. Lovely idea to give the braids away and the new bobs are so tidy. I love your pretty table and I think my Ambercat would love Wilbur - he's her colour but there's more of him and his fur. We are having coffee in a rain soaked garden listening to the birds, a wood pigeon is holding an important conversation with himself at the moment. Enjoy your babysitting days. Bettyx

I spent a happy half hour last night sorting out broken necklaces, donated by church members. At Holiday Bible club [VBS] this year, we will be decorating crowns similar to the ones worn by your poppets by sticking beads and jewels on them!
If I run out of jewels, I will use fruit gums!

The crowns are delightful! Look at those happy little girl faces :) I bet their eyes lit up when they saw the candy on the table -- yum yum!! Wilbur -- haha! I love his name. And I also once fell over a dog. Actually I was trying to step over a dog, and she jumped up in alarm and messed me up in my stepping, and I nearly broke my neck. Silly. Well, thank you EVER so much for blogging about granny camp, and please, please do let us know what you do each day. It will be fun!

Can you hear my pencil scritching across my paper as I take notes on Granny Camp? It's nice to have some ideas to keep the grandies happy. Looks like you're having so much fun, and it's good of you to take care of everyone with such panache! (sp?)

Oh no! Pulling out all the tricks on day one? I'm confident you'll find some other new tricks that you know (Cat in the Hat!). One of my favorites is filling spray bottles with water and a drop of dish soap hand out rags for cleaning. Really, they love it! They make fun squirt guns too.

You are such a good mom to give your kids a break to get away for a few days. God bless you!

My eye spies some child chairs like some I had when my kids were little. I loved them so much...I gave one to my sister but I kept one. It doubles as a plant stand. :)

I am sorry about your leg. Do be careful. Those are sure some sweet looking girls. You are a good grandma!
