A Canal Cruise and Amsterdam RED!

Here is a yellow hollyhock for you.  Pretty, huh?
I also chose a red and white house for you with some light pink hollyhocks in the garden.
There is a lot of renovating happening here.
 Here's a peek up a canal.
We came upon some costumed cup stackers (I think!)
 Hello again, Vincent!
Let's go for a ride upon the canals!
 coffee shop!
The houseboats have their version of gardens.  Nice!
I know how you like red chairs.  Have a visit!  I'll bring you something from the bakery.
Are you staring at me, Swan?

Here is a nice back yard for a pup!
Would you like this green houseboat?  We could paint the picket fence.

Did you know there are over a thousand bridges in Amsterdam?
How would you like to operate the claw?  Somebody has to pull out the buried treasure (bikes!)

Oh, we DO like red houses, don't we?  I like EVERYTHING red.  When I get home, I shall ponder painting my cupboards red.  I was going to paint them black, but now I have changed my mind.  Silver heart knobs?  Sound good?

Here we are cruising by in the canal boat.
 The harbor!

 Two ferry boats:  Amsterdam style!
Finally, a man's red boat.
It's VERY warm here.  When we are walking around on the cobblestones, we feel wilted.  There are SO many people here and all ages seem to enjoy their bicycles.  I've never seen SO many bicycles.  I'm glad Sunshine is parked safely in the garage at home.  She doesn't know how easy her life is!
Tomorrow we'll take the train to Haarlem and line up at the green door for a tour of the ten Boom's house.  I asked the young man at the hotel desk, "What's Haarlem like?"  He replied, "Beautiful like Amsterdam, but smaller!"  I can't wait!
Thank you for visiting today! By the way, what would you paint red?

BEAUTIFUL!!! Will you want to come home? Maybe that is why it is hot...so that you will come back. (How hot is hot?) I love all the pretty colors, flowers, bridges and water. I think red is the way to go on your cabinets as red is the color of PomPom, no doubt about it. :)
It is fun to travel with you!

I would like to paint my mailbox red. Looking at these pictures, I might be brave enough to paint by front door red too.

I'd paint just about anything red. Maybe my front door. Love your photos, I'm glad you're having a wonderful time.

Hi Pom Pom,
I've just read all the posts of your trip. I love all of the photos! Munich is so beautiful, as is Amsterdam. I would love to visit the Anne Frank house too. I enjoy van Gogh's work, so I would've gone with you to the exhibit. :) It looks like you are having a lovely time. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful photos! I don't have anything to paint red, but my front door and some of the trim around my house is a burgundy color...does that count? Enjoy Corrie ten Boom's house!

how about a bright red bird house~!?
it would stand up tall above my flowers and the birds would sit on top of it and sing a long song to me every single morning.

i think red cupboards with silver knobs sounds beautiful.

love the holiday photos Pom Pom and am glad that you are enjoying yourself. i think i may need to add some yellow hollyhocks to my collection now . . .

I love this one too, I love the splashes of red. Lovely canals.
I cracked up seeing that claw get bikes out of the canals. How funny, but how do they get there?
