Fabric, Tea, Yummy Baby and Dad

After coffee and before we dashed to the garden center, Reve and I (she's my nice gnome-giving neighbor, remember?) made one quick stop at Scrappy Quilts.  I am not a quilter but I love fabric.  Take a look at all this "pretty"!

The fabric is top quality and it made me want to find a good skirt or apron pattern.
Yesterday I went to a tea party at my friend's church.  Each hostess had set the table with her tea things.  Pretty!

Here's where I sat!  Margie made each guest a pretty magnet!
Here is the last blooming peony.

Reve IS a quilter and she made this lovely yellow quilt for Jenny.  Lizzy tried it out.  I know!  She is a delicious little nine month old bundle of yumminess!

Happy Father's Day to my precious papa.  I will see him one week from today.  I can't wait to smooch his cheeks and hug him around the neck.  He used to sing this song to us when we were seated around the breakfast table:
Good morning, lovely children, it's nice to see so many handsome faces that look like me!

He's a good egg, my daddy.
Jeff and Jenny (and Jenny's cute family) are coming over for pizza dinner to celebrate Bill who is the finest father four kids could ask for.  I pray our Brad has a lovely day with his wife and kids and that Kelli's Bryan (they are up in the mountains) has a celebrated day, too!
The ultimate father?  Father God.  He loves us well. He loves us passionately.  Amazing.

Beautiful post, as always. You gave me a cup of cheer and sunshine on a rainy northern day.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your papa's breakfast song. I will think of that often with a smile. My children resemble me quite strongly, so I could sing it myself at the breakfast table. ;)

You are so sweet. I love your tribute to your Dad. To your husband as well. You have one adorable baby. I love how she is just so pink.
The fabric is so awesome. I love fabric too. I could become a real hoarder if I wasn't careful.
I hope you have a wonderful day today. Your peonies are amazing.
Bye for now my friend.

Ah, Lizzy is the same age as my Hazel Peach! They would have fun together.
We are traveling afar to have lunch with daughter Micah and her hubby and girls, plus my step-daughter, Missy, who is driving over from Fargo.
Love the fabric! I'd make lots of huge pillows.
I wrote a LONG email to my step-dad last night. He is such a good dad and husband to my mom.
Happy Father's Day to you all and to our Father in Heaven!
Your breakfast song sounds like something my hubby would sing!

I'm glad you posted more peony pics. Mine may struggle to even open this year. I'll spray some more water on them.

Love that Lil Lizzy-pie. She likes her new quilt. It matches Granny's sunshine bike.

Your daddy looks like a real gem. Have a happy day celebrating the daddies. We're having a pizza celebration too.

That is a fun idea for a tea to bring your own place setting.

Baby Lizzie is such a doll, and playing on that sweet blanket she is a super baby model.

Your peonies just keep on giving.

I love that pic of your dad. And what a sweetie, singing to his kiddos at breakfast...

What a sweet face and I like that song. Is it too late to start singing it to my kids? Ha!

What a fabulous piece of quiltwork in sunny yellow and what could be prettier than a litte baby playing with her toes in the middle of it!
