Snow Whine

Yesterday I slid to school in my car-sleigh.  Yikes!  Colorado needs moisture, so we aren't complaining.  Well, I'm sort of complaining.  I wore a ski sweater to school yesterday because of the Winter Wonderland outside my window and over the course of the day, going from the computer lab for reading tests and back to my room and to a meeting, I began to feel like winter weather is making me cuckoo.  I felt hot and sleepy.  My waistband felt like it was growing tighter.  By the time I drove in the driveway in the late afternoon I was so sleepy.
We went to bed VERY early and today I am THINKING flowers and birds and flip flops.
I am thankful for my treasure trove of flower images.  Note to self:  Keep taking pictures of flowers.

Additional note to self:  Keep walking around the neighborhood and take pictures of green stuff, too!

I fear that our area's tulips faced discouragement when the snows kept coming.  Sad.  I'm glad I took this photo a few springs ago!
 This one, too!
I am VERY glad that I spotted these fairies in my grass and snapped this favorite photo.
I know that the yard fairies are huddled in their underground homes, bundled up in their wool sweaters, wrapped in shawls made from last year's thistle down.  Yesterday I heard someone say, "I decided to trudge through the virgin snow since this is sure to be our last snow fall."  HOPE!
Oh, how I'd love to be floating in a crystal clear lake or riding my pool noodle in a cool aqua-blue swimming pool.  I'd like to get up in the morning, listen to birdsong, set the sun tea outside on the fence post, eat cantaloupe for breakfast, and water a pot of flowers or two with my apple-green watering teapot.
Snow snow go away and come again another day . . . like NEXT winter!
I wish you flowers.

Flowers do cover a multitude of sins. They lift the spirits too. I love your little fairy's. I wonder why you got so tired like that?
Well I hope spring comes and stays.

and I wish you flowers and sun and warmth...SOON! I was so tired of snow and know we've got one skirmish left but it's only a skirmish. my house plants are on the back porch; it's make it or break it time.

Yes, just when we'd thought we'd had enough over here, along comes the Weatherman with his doom and gloom report for this weekend - a cold snap with frosts looming!Poor flowers and plants don't know whether they're coming or going! Love all your pics, especially the pretty fairies.
Thank you so much for your kind comment over at mine.
Have a cosy weekend.x

No flowers here either. More sadly, no sweet, little fairies! We are at the mud stage in the back yard, thanks to sweet doggie running around in the melting snow. Love your pix of flowers--good therapy!

Oh, I was getting squirmy just reading about your sweater and getting how you were getting sleepier and sleepier. I feel for you, Pom Pom. It won't be long now.

Thank goodness for all of those pretty flower pictures.
Snow? Oh No! I'll do my best to send some spring weather your way.
Hang in there.

Oh thanks for sharing. It is just too cold here for me...and it is destroying my tadpole hunting for my first grade class. I am ready for spring, so thanks for sharing these wonderful pictures.

We keep track of your Colorado weather because we have kiddos living in Longmont. After your previous springy post I must admit, I chuckled a little when I heard you were having snow AGAIN. Our snow is still here. Melting a little at a time. We WILL have spring! :)
Hang in there good buddy!

Hasn't the snow been awful? Pretty pathetic when we have to dig around to find pictures of last year's flowers, isn't it. None the less, we so badly needed the moisture. Hope it warms up soon--Kathy Saben says it will. I am holding her to it, too.

It's almost May, and it's against the law for it to snow in May, so chin up! Our spring keeps starting and stopping--no snow, but dreary rain. What a winter! Hope the sun shows up at your place soon!

We seem to be having the same weather here in Montana. But so far this weekend it has been nice. We even mowed the lawn for the first time today. Let's hope that was our last snow. Kit
