Washington Weekend

Yay for Washington!  We loved laying eyes on my dad and my mom!  We saw my sister, two brothers, and their dear spouses for a little bit.  They spent the weekend snow shoeing in the mountains.  Beautiful!
Do you like my mom's owl sweater?  She was talking here, not praising although she DOES have a very praise-y spirit about her!
Bill talks with his hands, too!  Smile.

The valley is always stunning, even with fog.
My niece and I did zip out to the shore on Sunday.  I love the blue so blue.

When we flew home, the view out the airplane window was glorious.  God made.

My mom had these out on her porch.  Even though it is supposed to reach 68 degrees in Denver today, we can't have flowers on porches yet.  It IS winter.

How is YOUR January going?  Does it feel sort of quiet and steady?

On the cards:  just a little thinking, some verse, ordinary day stuff.  Thank God for ordinary days.

The photo out the airplane window doesn't even look REAL! Amazing. God has placed so much beauty in the world -- quietly, but it shouts to the eyes. So glad you got to go and have a lovely time with family.

Thank you, everyone! The views were so lovely! MK! I thought the same thing as I gazed at the tops of the mountains.
Tina, I agree. It's best and good to go slow in January. I wish I had my knitting here at school (I'm on my lunch break!)

Oh Miss Pom I have missed you over my break. I smiled the moment I opened your page and saw those gorgeous spotty dot high heels everywhere ! lol
It looks like you have had a beautiful time away with your lovely family. I am so happy that you went to the waters edge. I love nothing more then living close to the sea. That view from the plane was stunning ! It's a great photo, claps for you !
Are you back at school yet ? My 4 little 'dears' go back next week. It has been so nice to sleep in every day and not pack lunches or rush around. I will miss them when they are not with me everyday. By the way I LOVE Primulas. Especially white ones so claps to your Mum for growing them on her porch. They are very pretty.
Here's to another year of friendship xo

Will you show us the socks you are knitting?
Hi Gretchen! Yes, I love my papa. I'm glad you like the looks of him, too!
Hi Melanie! Really? It's time for the kids to go back to school? Oh, it will take a while to get used to the new routine, I know!

I’ve nominated you on my blog for a “Liebster” award – an award for blogs I like to visit. There are (aren’t there always?!) particular rules that one is supposed to follow...However, I do appreciate that many bloggers find such things a bit tedious, or not actually what they blog for. So, if it doesn’t float you boat, no worries. Just be happy that I’ve (hopefully) sent others to look at your blog and enjoy it as much as I do. If you do want to join in, then hop over to my blog to find out the “rules”.

You are so good at touching base (hearts) with your family Pom. Your parents are real treasures. Talking with hands is good..it's expressive & enthusiastic. I am glad you got to visit your ocean. I can't imagine not being able to have any flowers at all in winter..eek! Much love Katie x0x0x
