Soft Fruits

Yesterday, inspired by Janette I think, I went to the farmers market.  I found rosy fruits!  I ate a whole bag of Rainer cherries so they are no longer around for photographing, but look at the apricots and the peaches!  The colors are holy, aren't they?  Oh, to be the color of a soft fruit.  Smile.
As I walked by the stalls I heard, "Mrs. M!" A boy from my school was working behind one of the tables.  So cute.  He sells flowers with his grandpa!  I had to buy this flat of white petunias, didn't I?  Twelve dollars for all the four-packs!  Score!

My poetry magazine came yesterday.  I like it so much.  One of my professors from my last college introduced me to this magazine.  I like all the ads for low-residency MFA programs.  I'd like to play around with THAT!  Maybe some day.
New titles!  My favorite:  Cupboard Full of Coats.  I have no idea what the story holds, but that's a great title.  I bought a novel at the grocery store titled The Book of Summer.  It's very nice so far, even though it is a little over stocked with similes.  Ha ha.
Well, I must say that with the abundance of words for the taking, THIS sweet book holds the TRUE words and the BEST words.  Look at some precious words here. "The earth is filled with your love, O Lord."  That's SO true, right?  Looking out my window today I am feeling loved by the green maple trees, the wind dancing with branches, a dog on a red leash following her person, and I smell that light scent of cool morning air, the smell of love.  Oh, yes.
My good daughter-in-law made many owls for Aria's birthday party over a year ago. She gave each cousin an owl.  When I am at Kelli's house I find the owls and place them on the shelf above the fireplace, because I love them so much.  Now I have the pattern so I might make an owl or two today.  I do like owls, don't you?
So, Sunflower Face, I hope the sun shines on you today and maybe a very red little ladybug bestows a kiss on your cute ear!
Oh!  You should see my twig lady! Her face is so shriveled!  Stay tuned!

I love seeing your annotated Bible with all the sketching.

God's earth IS full of his love -- beautiful, delicious fruits, sunflowers, sunshine, birds tweeting, and people to love.

Have a happy Day!

Oh so nice to see you just doing what you do best, being yourself. I love it with all of your sketching.
You are just like a brand new box of crayons, every time I open a box it is filled with color. You are so magic.
Guess what? My daughter got a story published in a real book, with a real editor. She got her story sent back all marked up. She is so thrilled. I am so happy too. Like over the moon.
Have a lovely day, I hope you make some owls. I am going to be making chickens. :) I can't wait to get them finished.
Have a lovely restful day. I liked that you slept two hours. :)

Ahhh - you sound like you're enjoying your summer and relaxing at last, Pom :) The flowers are lovely, and I really like your big, happy sunflower! Do write, and share what you write. Aren't those mags encouraging? I need some prodding to write more this summer, but I usually prefer to write in the cooler weather. I need sweaters in order to write. And hot drinks :)

I spent the morning in the raspberry patch (and I didn't eat too many from the canes)Now I need to freeze that abundance. I love summer.
My school teacher daughter graduated last July from Vermont College of Fine Arts low residency with an MFA in creative writing. She loved it. The campus is so beautiful (think Ivy league) and her instructors were even more impressive. I think you should "go for it".

I'm voting for you to go for the MFA, too! I hope all that education won't spoil your natural flair, though! ;)
I LOVE that you doodle and write in your Bible!! It never would have occurred to me, but it does now!
I've never seen that magazine before, but it looks very interesting. I hope you enjoy it thoroughly and maybe someday you'll put some of your wonderful thoughts in a book so even more people can be blessed.
Here's hoping a little ladybug kisses your cute little ear as well! :D
God is good!

I am an owl lover. I just love to wake in the night and hear the hooting of an owl. I have a little collection...mostly I keep them at school. I always read an owl book or two for read aloud. I like Owls in the Family by Farley Mowat. The kids loved it this year. The fruit looks fab! Have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Courtney

You're so funny, eating all the cherries! You must know they are very good for you. I'm thinking of taking a trip to our farmer's market this morning since I'm up so early.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Oh I am slow with my blog reading..too much of crawling up in our unmade bed! Oh look at your fruit..oh my, now I must get my clothes on and go to the farmers market again...I did do some canning this week with tomatoes and strawberries...we will be in the 100's today!

You daughter-in-law loves owls also...too funny.

Now your reading always inspires me and along with Madeleine L'Engles you two are expanding my summer education of myself..I will have to check out this magazine.

Oh with you on Pinterest...love the inspiration and I don't allow myself to get caught up...in fact, I don't pin anything that isn't realistic in my world! Happy Pinning.

Have a great day...thanks for more inspiration!!
