Old Zinnia

I found a zinnia from a long ago summer pressed between the pages of a knitting book.
I straightened a stack of books (cute ones).
I bought a six dollar toadstool (on the left!) at a discount store.
 I thought about ripples.
 I slept fitfully.  Every time I turned . . . ouch.
I drank coffee from a blue cup.
I'm making a lanyard for my school ID card.
I drew a dolly.
Even though it's snow-mushy on the sidewalks.  I think I need to move around more.  What if I HAD to sit?  I wouldn't WANT to.
Sometimes when I think I need a nap, I really need a walk.
See you soon, fairies (that's you!)

I just found a beautiful little autumn leaf in a book I haven't picked up in a year or two. So lovely to find it there, perfectly preserved.

I'm feeling very nappy right now ... maybe I should take a walk? I love walks, but sometimes I need motivation ...

Hope you have a swell week!

Knitting a lanyard? What a brilliant idea! My I.D. card for work is on a horrible metal chain, it's been swinging on that chain for eight years. I'm going to knit myself a new lanyard, so I always have a little bit of home with me at work!

Colourful knitting and more of your lovely drawing. I like your new toadstool too. No snow here, it feels like Spring. Church was fun today, My sign language has got good enough to sign a couple of hymns, a new way of expressive worship. Have a great week. Bettyx

So many cute and fun things here today. The picture of the little girl sleeping surrounded by angels ... sigh! Precious. Your little illustration is also precious.
I knew I needed a walk today, but settled for starting a new book instead. Now I'm feeling a bit guilty. Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

I don't know which I liked better; your dolly drawing or the illustration of the baby sleeping with the three angels watching over her. So cute!!!

So, did you go for your walk PomPom, or did you just nap?
I love the things that you have been doing...Is the blue cup your favourite? I always prefer coffee from my favourite mug. Somehow I think it tastes different!

What a lovely post! It's full of fun. I love Susan Branch and I know you get hours of pleasure and lots of drawing inspiration from your stack of books. Your crochet is so cheerful. I'm sure it makes you smile every time you pick it up.

Hope you have a wonderful school week! I'm volunteering in my favorite kindergarten class for the next two days. I have't seen those little cuties since Christmas so I'm sure they'll be full of stories for me!

I Hope you are ok PomPom! Sleep well next time!Keep doing your wonderful drawings too.
I love your blue cup, I am in love with blue - anything! - especially real, blue butterflies.
I would send a little group of them fluttering over the Pond to you, but they're all asleep this time of year!
Winter wishes,

Everyone is attention starved these days. We need billboards that say, "Tune in to the real people that are RIGHT THERE with you! Get off the phone!"

I had a walk and a nap today. I still can't shake the headachey sleepiness. Your post reminds me of springtime. The bright and pretty colours of all the new flowers making their appearance.

Blessings!
