Old Dresses

After a messy lunch, Birdie and Bug needed a costume change, so we searched for some dresses. I found a red dress I made for Kelli when she was four or so. My mother had the little blue dress made for me when I was Bug's age. It fits perfectly and goes so well with bare feet, don't you think?

I think if WE put on dresses and went outside, we might feel like running around in the grass, too. Why don't we wear dresses? I don't even have any! I need some.

Thank you for your sweet anniversary wishes. We had a lot of fun!

I love dresses and prefer them in the summer...they are much cooler than pants. I wore a dress yesterday over to SusanB's to knit. How sweet your girls are in their special dresses. Looks like you are having a great start to summer. Really no dresses?

Your posts are always so joyful. Dresses are wonderful, I sewed three dresses for me last summer and several for the girls. I miss my sewing machine so much !!
I'm happy you had a good anniversary, I hope you got my e-card :)

Blessings

Oh, aren't you glad you still have these!? They look like they're having so much fun twirling. The banner on Jessie's blog shows two dresses (the white and the lilac) that I made for her when she was about 4, 5, 6. Her little C. had much fun wearing them too recently -- such wonderful memories, and now, making more!
And I so agree about wearing more dresses! I found the cutest old Laura Ashley (for me ;-) on Ebay the other day but I didn't win it -- must keep looking! I don't want to turn into one of those middle aged ladies who begin to look like their husbands ;-0!
Blessings to you and yours,
G

What adorable little girls in pretty dresses. I think it is so cool you still have those! My mom sewed for me, but not dresses so much and I sure I had saved them.
Some of my favorite dresses to wear in summertime are by Fresh Produce. Are you familiar with them?

Those dresses are so darling! I wear lots of skirts and dresses in the summer. Not so much in the winter. There's nothing better than sun warmed grass under barefeet. I hope you ran around out there too with your sweeties!

Blessings!

Tell me about it, I practically live in jeans, but I really want to start wearing dresses and skirts, I am going to force myself too! :) xxx

I don't own any dresses either. I think I gave up wearing dresses. I do have a couple of skorts.
I LOVE your header picture! It's the best!
