Two Years of Pinkness

I had to join the pinkies today because it is the second anniversary of Pink Saturday. Congratulations to Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for sustaining this happy, neighborly blog event for such a long time!

This morning I had to hurry outside to capture this almost summer sky. Perfect pink!
I am so eager for my peonies to bloom. See how lovely they were last year? Isn't the pink as pretty as a tutu?

I know I've shown you this Jane Dyer art before, but I wanted to look at it again. Do you like it?

Here's a new one to me. It is called Heartfelt. I find the way Jane Dyer combines red, yellow, green, and blue PERFECT.
I wish you a happy weekend. Three days of summer anticipation. I need to buy a bigger flag.

Beautiful pinkness! I can hardly wait for my peonies to bloom either. Do you have some that smell like roses? One of my varieties does. I can hardly get enough of them.

I am going to find some books with Jane Dyer's art, the next time we go to the library. It's so pretty!

Hoping you are having a wonderful (and pink) Memorial Day weekend, Dear Friend!

Blessings!
Deborah

I adore peonies and mine are still just shooting up (no buds). Is there anything that smells as good as a peony? I wonder if there is peony perfume out there somewhere?

I like the JD illustrations too.

Hi Pom Pom, your sunrise is awesome. a great way to start your day. I am always taking photos of a sunrise in the mountains where we live. The mountain view on my post is what I wake up to every day.

I too love peonies and I never thought about them like a tutu but you are right. They are the most beautiful shades of pink.

Love the Jane Dyer art. Love that red hair. smile. Happy Memorial Day weekend. You just reminded me we need to hang our flag.
Hugs, Jeanne

Have a wonderful holiday! Thanks for giving us more of Jane Dyer, too. Oh, and I loved your swimsuits! I have gotten so far behind. I lost a whole week somehow. I feel as if I'm trying to find my way back to civilization again!! xo Kari

Beautiful sky, and I love the picture of the girl with her horse! I was a horse loving girl too, were you?
And the photo in your sidebar of the kids all piled up on the bed is so charming. Who's the artist?
Blessings to you Missy!

Hiya Pom Pom, I suppose i love the buds of may so much because they are always so happy in it, so even if your feeling down and you watch an episode of it, you can not help but feel happy. I also love it for the 1950's clothes they wear, and their home decor which is so so cosy, I love Ma's kitchen. Also, I love seeing them all sit around the table, a big happy family, tucking into Ma's food. I think I love it mainly because it is such a happy, cosy series, set in a gentler age, my favourite era, the 1950's. :) xxx

I bought some white roses with pink on the tips today at whole foods (it's my birthday! flowers, everyone!). The older I get, the more I like pink.

We just can't grow peonies here in south Georgia. My mama's up in Tennessee are fabulous! Yours are too. They smell divine, don't they? I love the pale pink/white ruffled ones.
