Fairy Tunes and Flowery Goodness

Hello Nice People Extraordinaire! I am having my morning SIT and listening to Maria Sangiolo's bouncy album titled: Fairy Moon: Songs of the Ring. We were playing it for Birdie the other day and Kelli asked, "How do you know all the words?" I guess she didn't know about all my fairy song listening. But, I am feeling very flowery and springy today. The time is ticking away, working against my everyday plan to get to school with time to spare. Yikes.

The other day (Mother's Day actually!) I had a little stomp around in my sweetie pie neighbor Reve's garden. The pictures above are from her fairy garden. Below are . . . . the peonies! Wait until you see them in all their June loveliness! They are rich, bountiful and fit for a queen!

Libby Q from Paper Napkin Poetry sent party favors for her regular blog readers on the occasion of her first blog-anniversary. She's a happy mixed media artist and she creates amazing pieces of art. She's so loving. I love my bee remedies housed in a tight little pouch. Bzzzzzzz. Thank you, LQ!

Bill is a dear, darling, sweetie pie, too! He bought me one massage a month for sixth months! I can't wait to enjoy a nice, long tender massage. Soon.

Jeff gave me this pretty bird journal with perforated pages (blank, like I like them - no lines) and I am going to make it into my summer flower book. Kelli gave me this "Mama gave me the moon" book and below you shall see one of the cute pictures.

Kelli was afraid I already had this book, but I don't and it is delicious! I am a fan of Beatrix and I've been fascinated by her life and her work for ever so long. I have so many books piled around me. Bliss.

Oh, I wish I could stay and chat for a good long while. I must get ready for my school day. I hope your day holds sweet, pink tinted joy, heart tickling music, face to face looks of love and adoration and some satisfying work. We are such funny little earth dwellers, cherished by our Creator and paid attention to by Him. Our little blip of time here on earth is important. You are important.

Lots of lovely pictures to brighten our day - as I am on my break at work and popped in for a quick look it was very upcheering for me. I love your little books, very pretty. We had mothers day some time ago in the UK but I think we should make time for ourselves periodically without having to 'put a name on the day' - I am planning a secret day out for my family soon.

Thank you for the sweet note on my blog on Mother's Day. I have been having internet trouble until today, so am trying to play catch up at this time.

Happy (belated) Mother's Day to you. I love the colorful bits of your Mother's Day that you shared here. I always "click" away from here feeling more relaxed and happier.

I have not read that Beatrix Potter book, I have read her biography by Margaret Lane which is wonderful. I too love Beatrix Potter, have you seen the film Miss Potter, it is lovely. You sound light, happy, and joyful by your writing! Such pretty flowers surrounding you and good children giving special gifts. I recognized the Beatrix Potter book....I have it on my shelves and have yet to read it. I love BP.

The snow is coming up today. I'm thinking I'll do some stitching. Maybe I'll plant potatoes this morning if it doesn't start snowing before I get to it.

God bless you,
God bless your days.

Hi Pom -- love your new look -- so pretty!
So glad you had a good Mother's Day -- nice thoughtful gifts from your brood -- especially envious of the massages ;-).
Methinks in about 2+ weeks, you won't have to worry about hurrying to get up and leave your cozy nest? Yay!
Blessings and angels,
G

I would love to read the Beatrix Potter book. Did you see the movie that came out a few years ago? Another version of England that makes me wistful ...

Beautiful pictures!

Oh good! Another book about Beatrix Potter. I find her life so fascinating. She always seemed to know exactly what she wanted to do, and she did it. And what a lovely shower of lovely gifts for such a lovely, loving mother to all. Mother Pom Pom!! xo Kari

So glad to hear that you had a Happy Mother's Day. What wonderful gifts! Ahhhh, massages. Lovely! Before I was a SAHM, I was a facialist in a Day Spa, the massage therapist and I traded services often. I miss that! So relaxing! Enjoy!
