Morning Welcome

The sky did this for a few moments this morning. Is that not a heavenly welcome to a new day? Monday, too!

I wanted to share the sweetest sight from our zoo outing yesterday. Isn't a Canadian goose elegant? I love the way that bill is tucked under the wing. I wish you this sense of balance and stability today.

That is a sweet sight for sure!
I used to love sunsets...still do...but for some reason there is nothing like starting the day off with a beautiful sunrise.
Thanks for making my morning so nice:-)

Beautiful sunrise and I love the silhouette of the house and trees against it.

We have gobs of Canada Geese right now. They are interesting birds.

Beautiful sky - reminds me of the saying 'red sky at night, shepherds delight ... red sky at dawn, shepherd be warned'hope the sky held out for a good day!

The morning air is always a gift, and to see this in the sky, why, it's like Christmas to the senses!

Ah so this is why I felt such balance and stability today! And there was me thanking the sunshine! i should have known you were sprinkling blessing somewhere along the path! I am not ignoring the favourite poet question, but rather giving it inordinate thought! To be continued... (I am slightly discouraged by the obvious level of your inspirational teaching! My efforts will be paltry indeed and most certainly single only genre!)

That sky was a beautiful start to your week. I hope the week fulfills its promise. I agree about the elegance of the canada geese. I have a few photos from yesterday of two geese on a little lake nearby. If I find a five minute stretch to do so, I may post them as a wordless wednesday.

Hi Pom Pom,
I just wanted to pop in to your lovely spot for a visit. My kids were complaining that I was "always on the computer" so I have been monitoring myself much more closely. Your pleasant blog is one that I am always happy that I make time for. I just love to leave your page open to listen to your music. Hope that your week is off to a wonderful start!

What a beautiful sunrise picture! I can't seem to ever capture those with my camera.
And I love everything Canadian - the lovely people, bourbon ;-) & geese!

That sunrise is the loveliest mixture of pink and blue! And what a magnificent goose! What a wonderful color, too, a kind of pale antique brown. Those feathers seemed to shine. His pose makes me think of how my cat puts his tail over his nose sometimes, or his paw. Animals teach us so much, don't they? xo Kari

Lovely sunrise! God is so good to surround us with such rich beauty like sunrises and geese.

Such a beautiful sunset. We live on the river and are often graced by geese, ducks and swans... even cranes. But I don't get any close up shots like this. He/she is very handsome.
