Playing With Pink

Hi Pink Seekers! Happy Pink Saturday! This is my second PS and a couple of friends have asked, "Are you using all your pink up too soon?" The answer is YES! I have faith that more pink will come my way!

Have you seen these blow up animal balloons? They feel sticky but they are fun! This bunny has little hands and feet . . . and EARS! Advice: do NOT buy bargain brand Silly String. It's wimpy. More advice: DO buy yourself bubbles every now and then. No one ever said you can't pull them out of your purse at a meeting and float a little fun into the air.

DO use your grandma's pleated, rosy - colored bowl for bubble gum.

DO buy $1 teacups at T J Max

DO read your grand babies books

Below: a wordless tutorial on bubble blowing

Doh!

I close with a picture of the story book character I envy most: Goldilocks
She actually got to GO INSIDE The Three Bears house!
What story book character do YOU envy and why?

I wish you pink dreams, pink clouds, pink peppermint ice cream (especially for Gigi), cotton candy, pink cheeks and pink lips that LOVE to smooch you! Happy Pink Saturday! You may want to pop over and visit Bunny Cottage. Vicki presents heavenly pink stuff! Thank you, Beverly from How Sweet the Sound. She's the darling hostess of all the pink fun!

The Pied Piper (did I spell that right?). Wouldn't you give anything to be able to play a tune that would call all of the people out of their loveless, fearful, frightened world and into the realm of the Lord's great love for us in Christ Jesus? I think that would be great.

My Goodness, PomPom, but you are a talented BubbleGumGal! That's a prize winning Bubble if ever there was one. My favorite story book is Cinderella cause she had a Fairy God Mother with a magical wand and in the end she married a Prince...just like me! Wow! Is your Grandma's bowl a 'Fenton'? It's a TREASURE and very collectable! Happy Pink Saturday, My Magical Friend!

Oh, such a sweet post. You have to love Lucy don't you? I chewed lots and lots of bubble gum when I was growing up. I love that too, only now I would be afraid to. Your post looks like so much fun, thanks and I can't wait to see more. Use up all your pinks, love your attitude, there will always be lots and lots of pink, Happy Pink Saturday, Char

I have the exact same rosy pleated dish! My mom gave it to me and I'm sure it was her mother's.

I loved Peter Rabbit because he was always having adventures in the garden, going places he was warned not to go, and escaping Mr. McGregor and his wife at every turn.

I hope your weekend is filled with sunshine surrounded by the laugher of those you love.

Please pray for the people of Haiti. May God bless each and every soul.

I didn't exactly envy Little Red Riding Hood but I loved that fairy tale ~ something about her going alone through the woods to grandmother's house, and forgetting her mother's warning, with that big scary wolf trying to get her! And I guess I did envy her that red cape, for I always wanted a coat with a hood. The first time I had one was in college when I bought a pale brown cotton trench coat with a hood and wore it every day that it looked like rain might be forthcoming. xo Kari

A lovely post, and great fun! Yes, bubbles in a business meeting (or on a train journey) would certainly relieve the boredom!

Hi Pom-Pom, I liked your post :) First off, your red/white curtain topper is darling!(the one in your Header picture). Your grandma's ruffled-edge pink glass bowl is beyond.
I like to read children's fiction, too. If I were to envy a character if would be Betsy from the Betsy/Tacy series. Growing up it would have been Nancy Drew.
Happy Pink Saturday :)

I love the $1 teacup! I occasionally treat myself to a very inexpensive new mug from Wal-Mart. ($2-$3) That's a real treat to me!

I would love to be mole or rat from "Wind in the Willows". They had wonderful adventures and then returned to their snug homes and ate wonderful comfort foods! =0)
