Colorado Pretty

Jeff and I drove west today to a state park we'd never been to. The sky blazed breathtaking blue and the air is warm and thin.

Our Colorado is a different kind of pretty.

Jeff bought a new camera so now I have his old one! FUN!

In less than a week, we'll be in Hawaii. This week of school could be a doozy. Kids get antsy when a break approaches. They have testing in my class (in the lab, to measure their reading level) and then we'll present our songs and paragraphs and THEN . . . a week-long break. I am SO ready to dip my toes in the South Pacific and lay around and read on a hotel bed. Ahhhhhh.
I'll miss being here, too. I'll miss the grands. They are saying and doing the cutest things. Jenny's birthday will come when we get back. She's blooming like a little rose and Samantha will be here before we know it!
I hope you are enjoying the light of autumn and the anticipation of a festive season fast approaching. Around here the pumpkins are in their respective homes, waiting to turn into jack-o-lanterns. I made zucchini bread and soup today. One more zucchini sits on the counter, but it is the last. Leaves are floating down and darkness comes earlier in the evening now. I'm tired from hiking the trail today, ready to read a good book even though I should be grading Shakespeare papers.
I'm glad you stopped by today. I wish you a big dose of happy.

Hi Pom Pom

I'm glad I popped by today too! I've never been to Colorado before!
(lol)

Without wishing your life away I hope your week goes quickly so you can get on that beach under the swaying pineapple trees, drink fruity cocktails, dip your toes in the warm water and sleep well

Lots of love

I've only ever seen Colorado from the Denver airport, but even that little bit was spectacular. We watched a thunderstorm brewing over the mountains.

You photos make me want to see even more of it! Sooo beautiful!

Wishing you a wonderful week of anticipation :o)!

Blessings!
